If Vdubfiltermod = Vdub2, I used it since a month or two, and works well!
I thinks it's the same thing. It sounds like they just recently decided to dub it Virtualdub2. Yeah. It's a pretty complete little package imo and worth trying out.
Yup, Filtermod is great. It supports deep color, which is necessary for AviSynth+
Yeah, I've used it for a few months. I like the fact that you can scroll in the preview window. It really helps when you are zoomed in.
With my new UHD TV, it seems I'll be forced to use Avisynth+ and deep color/10 bit (HDR, too?), sooner or later...
Just noticed my comment was a little misleading. You obviously don't need Vdubfiltermod for AviSynth+ unless you are making use of the deep colorspaces. Normal Virtualdub will still open any other scripts.
I tried to use virtual dub and I found it put squiggly lines shapes in the video.... Is this now fixed?
Not sure. Were you loading an avs script into it or just opening video files and applying virtualdub filters? If using an avs script please post it. If not you'd have to describe the filter chain or take a screenshot for us to help you.
