avatar
im not on that OT site, whatever that is
avatar
Indeed Bronze, I'm sure either way maybe someone should let Silverwook know. Maybe the issue can be tracked down and George Lucas can get a whooping. Smile
avatar
"Jetrell Fo: These are the Original releases (Han shoots first)." -- But does Luke throw his grappling-line twice? Now THAT would the FIRST original !
avatar
That would be good for additional notice ... just in case there is something afoot.
avatar
Well, I'd say that, even if we are all Star Wars fans here (more or less), maybe it's better to go to OT, as it's THE Star Wars forum for restorations, preservations, fan edits etc.
avatar
Thank you for the heads up. It is always appreciated.
avatar
but he later goes on to say that they are better than the Team Negative One editions, at least that is how it reads if you go through his posts sequentially, it could be a combo of bad english and enthusiasm though, just i dont really keep up with the star wars side of fanres, dont know if anything new is pending and thought a heads up might be in order just in case
avatar
Sounds to me like he's talking about DeSpecialized ... which isn't new by any means.
avatar
^ Another post about them from Jdawg there.
avatar
Jdawg72 Thats the thing about it. Only a limit of ppl have these bcuz Lucas will never allow theses to be released at all. Disney cannot get them bcuz Lucas destroyed them. Just wanting to share them if ppl want them Big Grin (21:14:06)
avatar
^ From their chat box ....
avatar
Jdawg72 These are the Original releases (Han shoots first). I saw that sum ppl are asking for the Originals. Well, these are it it. I beling to another private tracker . avatar
yes, hdtorrents and it was in their chat, they implied it was better than the Team negative One stuff and that it was new and next to nobody had them
avatar
What, a new one? Apart from the ones we know of?
avatar
I suspect HDTorrent, but let's wait for OogieBoogie to confirm (or deny) this.
avatar
hdt?
avatar
what is hot?
avatar
Do you have a link to the thread? Can you send it to me via pm here? Thanks.
avatar
only ask because someone is making a bit of noise over at hdt, sounds like they think they have something new, something better than what is already out there and if so wondered if you guys were okay with that happening
avatar
anyone here know if there are new scans of Original Trilogy Star Wars being released?
avatar

avatar
Just two words . . . Mild Mannered Superman! https://mmsuperman.tumblr.com/
avatar
@IcePrick: I may have the German Disc set. Give me a note, if your ripping failed, and I may check at the weekend, when I am at home, where my DVDs are.
avatar
Okay, it looks like I was finally able to rip the disc. I hope nothing's corrupted.
avatar
I'm specifically looking for PAL encodes of the Fleischer shorts.
avatar
Why? What's on the fourth disc?
avatar
Does anyone here have the PAL version of the four disc special edition DVD of 'Superman: The Movie'? My fourth disc seems to be defective and I can't play it properly.
avatar

avatar
Can you post a link to the reddit thread you talked about?
avatar
Dont worry Your post wasn't confusing
avatar
Jetrell Fo I just seen your previous shout to me and no thats not why I came here. The reason I came here was because I fortunately stumbled across spoRv's Alien IMAX Fundemental cut on AvP Galaxy which led me to here. Back to Blutopia, I wasnt aware of this tracker until lastnight so I noticed a few people chatting on here and thought to myself "you dont ask, you dont get".
avatar
Apparently my post was confusing. The point is this is not the place to come requesting Blutopia invites right out of the gate and if someone told you it was they were wrong.
avatar
No worries Jetrell Fo you dont need to explain to me what private trackers are ive been using them for sharing the past 9 years
avatar
Blutopia doesn't just hand out invites to everyone including it's own members. They aren't a free leech site either. Their members are dedicated and there are ratio rules.
avatar
Yeah sorry I found an Invite thread on Reddit
avatar
I would suggest to let these invite requesting and possible fulfilling be handled someplace else... There are enough such thing sharing communities...
avatar
Closer .... is that all you came here for, an invite to another site?
avatar
What's that?
avatar
Agree, but maybe we should start a thread named "request a blutopia invite here", or something like that... it seems much needed!
avatar
No, this is not the best place to ask.
avatar
Not sure if this is best place to ask but anyone here have an ivitation to blutopia?
avatar
@Feallan- Yep, the prequels at least had a story and were kid-friendly for the most part. Ep7 & R1 have almost no redeeming qualities IMO.
avatar
Definitely looks a hell of a lot more organic, at least.
avatar
Well, it just proves what you can do with actual film stock.
avatar
Nope, the JJA-type-of-flares, I suspect! And don't forget random shaking camera movements and out-of-focus-just-for-the-sake-of-it! Happy
avatar
Ah yes, the infamous CinemaScope lens flares.
avatar
Well... Also to a more lens flared side of the force... Sad
avatar
Well, that's your opinion... I liked Episode 7 more than 1-3... I also liked Rogue One... And after what Ja did with Star Trek I also think that he is capable of bringing Star Wars onto a darker and mature side... Yes Episode 7 was quite the same story overall as episode 4, but on the other hand: After the franchise shatters Episodes 1-3 did left, he never had a good fundament, so I see the copy and paste more like the try of building a base for upcoming stories...
avatar
There's not much to wait for. New Star Wars is trash and it doesn't even matter who directs it. The two movies they've done so far are just soulless checkbox-ticking cashgrabs, don't expect Ep 8 or 9 to be any better.
avatar
I am a wait and see person so I don't have anything to contribute to this "debate" about Star Wars and it's "directors".
avatar
The fiction of Star Wars has so much possibilites regarding creative art, story telling and interesting new characters. And all we're getting until this point is a copy-and-pasted OT. I dislike the PT too, yes. But Lucas was brave enough trying to tell a new story. He was just a messy director / dialogue writer.
avatar
I'll leave this tweet by Pixelated Boat here: https://twitter.com/pixelatedboat/status...5806100480. As crazy is it sounds, I pretty much completely agree with it.
avatar
Well, at least hardly any of the kid-friendly tone, if that, has carried over from the prequels.
avatar
Bleech. I didn't like TFA and I think J.J. is pretty illsuited for Star Wars overall. The way Disney has been handling the franchise doesn't give me much confidence.
avatar
Why "help"? He's a good (very good? fair? surely not bad) director, and it would be difficult to repeat the "success" of the prequels, so...
avatar
J.J. Abrams is the "new" director for Episode IX... help!
avatar
Thanks Dad Wink
avatar
Ok
avatar
Done and done.
avatar
Koopa: it seems interesting... why don't you start a thread about this?
avatar
Jetrell: good boy! Big Grin
avatar
Among other things, I'll try to restore as much footage to the first one as I can, using techniques similar to those used for the restorations of A Star Is Born (the one with Judy Garland), Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Superman II.
avatar
Well, anyway, I might do a 1080p restoration of the first five films in the Land Before Time series.
avatar
Yes Dad ... Tongue
avatar
Okay, you kids, be good.... Happy
avatar
Not weird at all, shooting film for commercials and mixing with video content at 60i is very common in all areas of production. Try Double IVTC, one for top field, one for bottom field and interweave the two for 59.94fps output.
avatar
Yeah, apparently, the games are presented at 30 fps, and the miscellaneous graphics stuff tends to vary between 24 fps, 30 fps, and 60 fps for some reason.
avatar
Isn't it kinda weird for them to alternate like that?
avatar
Apparently, the live-action content in those N64 promo videos was all done at film framerate.
avatar
For example, presently I'm working on a little side project involving inverse telecine and an old N64 promotional video issued by Nintendo Power--specifically, for Diddy Kong Racing, on November 4, 1997. I've already completed the first second of footage.
avatar
Of course, there was no need for anything further than my original comment, you and SW chose to voice your opinions. Again, duly noted. I'm not angry at anyone, I am just more open than some, and there's nothing wrong with that. It doesn't break any rules as long as I keep my words civil. I have done that. Now, moving on to better discussions .... Smile
avatar
(and my stupid Autocowrecktion just made believe to believer...)
avatar
@Jetrell: for the sake of all, we shall stop here... We both stated our points of view... We both may take some insights from the points of view of the other... We have different points of view... That's perfectly fine... I believer digging further could end up on a personal level of discussion, that we both neither need nor want...
avatar
Stay safe SkywalkerFan01!
