H.265 Encoding

So I was just wondering if anyone has advice as to what the best freeware 265 encoder is out there right now.
New or non-posting members: Please do not post or PM me asking where to get something. Stick around and make some friends first.

Looking For:
Alien 1999 Master Japanese BSHI Broadcast 1080i mid 2000s
Blade Runner DC Pre-BD US HDTV Broadcast 1080i 2005 (blade.runner.1080i.dd5.1.oar)

Probably x265, but I don't think it's worth using yet

I use for almost everything, that I want to encode fast handbrake, afaik it has a x265 encoding avaible... Only bit difficult encoding is when I want to encode some of my BDs. I have to extract the video part first with eac3to...

AFAIK x265 is better than x264 only at very low bitrates and is far worse in any other regard.
