Is it worth capturing the audio with CX enabled for preservation? My player DVL-909 doesn't support CX (from what I could read on internet), but I have LD-4300V that supports it. I was wondering if it's worth capturing the CX analog audio as well, what's your opinion?

I'll enable it, as it will be impossible to decode CX in software AFAIK.
If it's worth capturing the analog tracks, well, that's another story!
Sadly my projects are lost due to an HDD crash...

Some of the anolog audio tracks on LD sound freaking amazing and it really does depend on the source used for the transfer, the transfer process itself, and then (lastly) the equipment used to capture the audio.
The ONLY way to really know is to do an A/B test |
