I swear, he must have a 386 PC from 1994, and he regrades everything to past video transfers which are all off.

A bit harsh!
He regrades to his personal choice, that many seem to prefer (Personally really liked his Mad Max 2 and Batman VS Superman Smile).
I don't think he has ever claimed they were regraded to the 35mm release.

Judging solely from my mobile phone at the moment, the first screenshot from blu ray (latest release I imagine) looks pretty much correct with color timing.

We are simply going by the fact that this first German DVD was done on the cheap and it's likely that they didn't bother altering the film colors in any way. There is also a strong suspicion that more than 90% of the Blu Ray release could be correct, the first glance at the punks scene seems to confirm that BR has same color timing as the early DVD. I'll soon compare it with some actual 35mm reference. We are looking for indirect but founded evidence on how the original film looked. For the moment it's cheaper than renting and scanning the film.

PDB thinks the new Blu does have a green tint problem, and Torsten Kaiser agreed it did have issues with global grading as well. PDB also says the DCP made from the same remaster doesn't have the same kind of green tint.

I agree it's closer, certainly not perfect, but it needs a better correction that isn't just based on the old transfers.

If you go to eBay.co.uk and look up Terminator 35mm film cell, you can find quite a few strips up for sale, which have images that are lit and scanned well (though aren't very high resolution). There are even more in the completed listings.

And there are plenty for T2 as well, all of which seem to match up with stuff like the French TV footage and the clips in the Siskel and Ebert review.
