Classic movie buff saying hello.

Hi everyone! A friend of mine tipped me that this was the place for me and I like what I see so far. I'm a blog writer for alostfilm.com so unavailable movies, lost scenes, neglected gems, restoration and all: they're my thing. Not only the technical part but the research behind the restoration. My preference goes to classic movies, especially American, British and French (but not only), Hitchcock, Disney films and their various versions especially Snow White for which I found and restored the original 1938 French version with a friend. I also love classic scores and much more... I'm eager to see what you guys have in store. I hope I can help, too. This is my first time on a forum so be gentle.   Smile

Hi! Thank you for the warm welcome. I mainly worked on lost French versions of Disney features lately. With the help of a few friends, I managed to recover the first version of Snow White, Bambi, Fantasia, all previously unavailable on any format and I remixed (5.1 surround) some that were very briefly available on VHS ages ago in Quebec like Cinderella. Still currently working on some like Peter Pan, etc. I'm looking for complete versions of Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland and Sleeping Beauty, of which I only have extracts (long and rare ones though). If you guys know a source...
Not my only interest but it has kept me very busy these past few years.
