Your taking a say 'Reservoir Dogs', getting the best version available, and making various versions that simulate what it looked like on various Home Video formats?

That’s pretty much the gist of it. Ironically, the basic editions will be getting more formats than the GSC editions.

Seriously though, this is why next month’s staff-exclusive release of A Fistful of Dollars will be DVD-only, so that nobody gets the wrong idea about the whole “format” thing. What goes to staff members will be what’s possible; everything else is a simulation, and the same rule will apply to all of my other basic edition releases, with the caveat that only AFOD will be given a staff-exclusive preview release. (BTW I might have to delay The Boys in the Band; depends on whether or not I can acquire the Paramount DVD by the time I make my Q1 release.)
