Best source for Police Story (1985) mono track?

Hello.
It has been mentioned that Eureka were erroneously given an audio track that was claimed to be original mono, but was actually a remix. Does anyone know what the best sounding source for the original mono would be?

The mono from the Japanese laserdisc is very good, but the audio itself has some differences to the HK release's audio (also taking into account the fact that the Japanese cut is an extended version).

Many thanks!
The Japanese also made 4K recovery to three parts

Hong Kong Rescue's Bluray has Laserdisc audio.

That is true. But (apparently), besides the fact that the laserdisc audio is for the extended cut (though it's easy enough to trim), there's also some differences in dubbing that wouldn't match up to the HK version. With that said, it's possible that a composite could be created.
HKR Bluray contains both original Hong Kong cut and Japanese cut, so no trimming would have to be done, just a quick sync.

Good point. I'll keep that in mind! Thanks!
Its probably going to be best if the new video transfer is used and corrected(?), synced & muxed to the HKR release.
It would not surprise me if HKR do a V2.
I'm personally buying these EuReKa release's to keep along side our customs, as we really don't get this kind of respect given to a release like this very often Smile

Fair point. Eureka are going to do a replacement disc that'll rectify these issues. They're looking for a suitable mono track themselves.
