I have the DVD. I should be able to rip the files should anyone need them.

I think a lot of us (and over at blu-ray.com) would appreciate the old audio mixes, so we could mux them into the new remaster Smile
I bought the original R1 DVD for 1 buck.

It surely beats the remaster, you get widescreen + IMAX open matte + original soundmixes for a buck.
Anyone link me to the PCM pls?
I cannot RIP my US or JP lasers right now
PDB is doing a new rip of the LD for me to sync to the UHD
IIRC, didn't one of the Laserdisc releases have the alternate take that was on the 4:3 side of the 1997 DVD. I'm not 100% sure if it were the fullscreen laserdisc or any of the letterbox ones, and if it has any impact on syncing.

Audio from the old Blu-ray doesn't an initial delay. I've already tested this with the UHD. Idk if any adjustment would be needed down the road. If not, The LD audio we have works perfectly as well Smile

I just compared and have a different experience with my region B Blu-ray :

BD frame 5297 is 5293 on the UHD, so -4 frames at the beginning.
BD frame 86815 is 86813 on the UHD, so -2 frames in the middle.
BD frame 173972 is 173970 on the UHD, so -2 frames at the end, still.

So on top of an initial delay, at least one other sync point would be required.
Damn, so when my mux is done I will have to do it again?

First, one would need to investigate further to see where the sync point is, and if there are no others.
I'm going to keep it running and see what happens
