I updated forum software and a bunch of plugins, and also tweaked the way forum should be presented in search indexes. If you notice anything not working properly, please report it here

Well, I just suddenly had 291 "unread" posts that I already checked long ago.

I updated the unread posts plugin, maybe something glitched out. Mark everything as read and let me know if anything more is broken

I added a notification system. You may have noticed "Alerts" bell next to user CP, it should display notifications:

When somebody adds you to buddylist (not sure anyone if uses that feature, but ok)
When quoted in a post
When somebody replies to your thread
When somebody replies to one of your subscribed threads
When mentioned in the Shoutbox
When mentioned in a post

You can mention people using "@" sign, like this: @spoRv, @PDB, @Doombot. If someone has a space in their nickname, you need to wrap it with double quotes, single quotes, or backticks like:

@`Dr. Cooper`

becomes

@"Dr. Cooper"
@'Dr. Cooper'
@`Dr. Cooper`

You can also mention someone using their user ID (which is available in URL of the user's profile, for example my ID is 116, taken from https://forum.fanres.com/user-116.html):

You can customize what alerts you want to receive in User CP. Let me know if this thing works at all

A feature that I was eagerly waiting since a long time... GREAT!!!

Would be nice to make a banner visible to anyone that will announce this (IMHO) very important new feature!

Agreed, dead handy. I've had to backtrack a number of times because I've tried to @ people then remembered I couldn't!

Great update and additions overall.

but: I am not happy with the new Addition on the mobile Version. The top Line with PM and Logout now needs three rows for 4 options, whild 1 row should be sufficient enough. Would be nice if the row-alignment on the mobile version would be checked für the PM, Log-Off, Alert, UPC would be checked.
