[poll] audio setup
#1
I'm curious to know what kind of audio (if any) setup our members use at home.

The only rule is that if you have more than one audio setup (!) post only the one with more speakers.

So, answer to the poll and, if you like to, add a comment talking about your setup - pictures are welcome!

P.S. if you have a different configuration, you MUST post a comment with more info... Big Grin

5.1 but planning to add a second sub. Pretty happy with the gear I have, more than powerful enough for the room size.
Years ago I had a 6.1 setup but moved somewhere it wasn't practicable, it was cool but I don't really miss it

Cheap Onkyo receiver, large Sony fronts, Jamo center/surrounds, no bass.

Moved into a new flat earlier this year and finally got a 5.1 system. It's a Monitor Audio Mass setup, small speakers but more than enough for the size of room. Really enjoying it so far.

Pioneer LX 56 setup in 7.1 (no option above for 8 channel?)
Kef IQ 60c for the Centre and Kef IQ 10's for the rest.
Wharfedale Diamond SW-150 sub, crossover at 80Hz.

Its a bit overkill for the size of my room, but it sounds good at all volume levels Smile

Yeah I noticed that, I said 7-channel since 8 wasn't in the poll but it's actually 7.1.

The specifics of my setup are not even worth mentioning though because it's a Frankenstein's monster kinda deal that's cobbled together from unrelated speaker pairs over many years. I've never really had a whole bunch of cash to drop in one go on a really nice speaker configuration; I was hoping to look at it this month (Black Friday and all that) but I've spent all my money on LaserDisc crap so that's not happening hahah.

I have an onkyo receiver, and Frankensteined two smaller Teufel 5.1 systems into a flexible 7.2 with 9 speakers:
For music I use center, front, front wide and surround, and for movies I have center, front, surround and back surround.
With my room just about 20 square meters it's a bit oversized, but sounds good even on low volume.
