Wanted to get the dd 5.1 and subs for a project. Thanks in advanced.
Anyone have the original Robin Hood Prince of Thieves Theatrical DVD?

The original DVD release was a DVD10. The movie is split across the two sides.
I can get you them as two audio and two subtitle tracks or merged into single tracks. PM me if you still need this.
I must of forgotten about the split thing. I don’t think I’m going to be able to merge those subs into something useful so I guess I’ll do without.
Thanks for the response Doctor M, I appreciate it.
Second opinion: I'm sure that the good doctor's offer to perform surgery on the subtitles should be taken up, and that the operation will be a complete success.
Well, the obvious thing is I created the TC from the superior US EC BD and synced to and parts from the AUS TC BD:
Actually had to use more of the AUS BD then I would like as the US EC BD is missing a lot of frames around the cuts... Anyway, I have been on a kick lately to get as many (ENG) soundtracks as possible. In this case, I have the LD PCM synced and the tracks from the AUS BD. If I got the DVD's DD 5.1, I could sync it no problem even if in two sections. Problem is I can't sync the ENG subs, I don't have much experience doing that and if its in two parts it certain to be out of sync with the BD. Not sure I can fix it. Yeah, my recommendation is still to duplicate those frames that I flagged up in the script, or else edit the audio at the cut-points, which should be feasible given that the 2.0 tracks are PCM and the AC-3 has to be resynced regardless, along with any subs. I dupped the frames for the shots that were basically static like the cut to the interior church or exterior castle. For cuts to motion I had to use the AUS BD for those shots as there was a tiny pause when dupping frames. Basically it was half dupes, half AUS BD. I did a lot of clean up the AUS BD and color corrected it so hopefully no one notices the difference (2021-03-04, 11:34 PM)PDB Wrote: For cuts to motion I had to use the AUS BD for those shots as there was a tiny pause when dupping frames. Understood. At least there weren't all that many of them. Guess my tolerance for those pauses is higher than average. No doubt you've done a bang-up job blending in the AUS BD footage. For my franken version, I tried recutting the EE footage to fit the TC audio during the torchlit conversation in the castle, using the eye in the wall at strategic moments, but it didn't work very well, so it's fortunate that the dark shots can be made to match fairly well throughout. It's the outdoor shots that are tricky.
The DE BD from NSM Records uses the same master as the AUS BD and has ENG subtitles, according to the playlist report. Dollars to donuts that the subs would sync easily... Maybe someone has the disc.

Eh, most people don't notice and I've had to do frame dupping when there is no other choice but in this case its far from perfect but I think it blends well enough.
