It's a whole minefield. technically in Spain, they are not bootlegs due to some legal grey area that's only applicable to Spanish law (hence why they are sold freely and commercially)

Yeah, but because of that minefield, I never would expect a Spanish release to be better than the original releases, that got... bootleg from out of Spain legal POVs.

I don't think we'll see a proper remaster anytime soon sadly. 1993's Gunmen with Christopher Lambert and Mario Van Peebles is one that doesn't even have a blu ray and the dvd is only in full frame. That's a fun little movie I never hear anyone talk about. Not an A+ movie by any means but still c'mon. I know there are much worse movies that leaped from vhs to blu ray and get fantastic transfers

there is a 1080p web-dl out there of Gunmen
