What BluRay and DVD release you are talking of?
US BD and US DVD are not as far of in comparison, as your Screenshots.

So, if you talk on specific releases, it always helps to specify the releases. Country of release origin, release company, and such. (some movies can get multiple releases on one format, from different companies in one country over time)
As there, iirc, where DVD releases that look very different across the globe...

The first screenshot is from the french trailer on youtube. The second screenshot is from the Optimum release.
I remember that the DVD also has those reddish colors. It seems, I'm not sure, that they changed the colors for all the DVD and Blu-ray releases. For what reason? There is no Laserdisc.
I was thinking about getting this film on Blu-ray but seeing how it was originally in theaters, I won't. Unless there is a Blu-ray release with the original colors.
Worst of all, no one seems to have noticed it. Possibly very few people will have seen this French film in theaters and discovered it for the first time on DVD, as I did.
Just because the trailer looks that way doesn't mean that's how it looked in theaters. A lot of things can change in post-production, and in many cases trailers are made by a separate team with little input by the director.
I don't know about this film specifically, but unless you have a cam rip or a release print I wouldn't consider this definitive proof that the colors were changed from the theatrical release.
I'd be more concerned about the dubtitles on the US BD than the colour timing
