Does anyone have the PCM from a Suspiria LD?

Just looking for a possible project.
I think I remember Chris from Synapse Films saying that the LDs are all mixdowns.. What did you have in mind?
The lds are mixdowns? Or the bds? I didn’t think any of the lds had a discrete remix to mixdown from.

I just have a different video source I wanted to compare to the bd/uhd, maybe a project maybe not. Just doing research.

I heard to original ld sounded pretty good but wasn’t sure.
It makes sense that the LD PCM is a fold-down, the theatrical mixes were 4-track 35mm mag and mono. Were there any dolby stereo prints?
From what I remember reading around the release of the UHD, all previous releases were remixes/fold-downs. The 4k is the first time the original audio was released outside theatrical prints.
Sorry, I meant the LDs are all fold-downs of the 4 track to 2 channel (not surround if I remember correctly). I think there is also a Japanese mono one that is pretty rare.

The 4-track was on the Synapse blu before the UHD, but that's splitting hairs

I heard of US prints being Dolby Stereo later in the run, but they were of the shorter R-rated cut released by Fox/International Classics.

Yup, the Synapse Blu was the home video premiere of its original 4-track audio. I think he just misspoke mentioning the UHD.
I'd be surprised if the US LD wasn't matrixed surround, even if it isn't advertised as such. If is indeed stereo only then it may be a mix unique to the LD, which may be worth preserving if a copy comes up.
