Casino Royale (2006) Cinema DTS to UHD [Patched]
[Image: 73d7ff44ba9c47ba82c7a906ddd75016_3909580...1573617537]

The UHD synced Cinema DTS 5.1 audio for Casino Royale (2006) is now available. Contributing members drop me a PM.

This is my own rip and sync. The raw files were converted using the foobar2000 APT-X100 plugin. The surround channels have been attenuated by -3Db and the LFE channel boosted +6Db which should be the correct theatrical level.

The Cinema DTS track that I have is the US theatrical version, the UHD is the extended unrated version so I've had to patch the two censored sequences using the UHD 5.1 with channels level-matched. The result is seamless to my ears. The UK theatrical release was also censored but in completely different scenes so, if ever I get hold of the UK Cinema DTS, I should be able to create a hybrid version with 100% theatrical audio.

The track is a DTS-HD MA file. If muxing into an MKV you should apply a -21ms offset to compensate for the additional silence added by the encoder. I haven't baked this adjustment into the track as some authoring programs adjust for it automatically.
If anybody has any of these Cinema DTS tracks please let me know as I'd be happy to sync them to their respective BD/UHD releases.

Glad to hear the extra scenes could be inserted seamlessly. Out of curiosity has the theatrical cut ever been released on blu-ray?

Yes the US theatrical was the DVD/BR version until recently where it's been replaced with the uncut version.

Ah, that makes more sense. I think it'd be worth it to have the theatrical DTS synced to the BD, for completionist sake.

To be precise, the US cut was the initial US Blu-ray and other reissues with different covers.

Unless I'm mistaken, the Uncut "European" version has replaced it in the US starting with the UHD release.

That's an idea, it should be a breeze to adjust the Cinema DTS to it, for completionist sake, thought of course the uncut version is preferable.

Growing up with the US theatrical cut, the uncut version is a little bit more intense for sure. There's some interesting changes across several territories actually:

For some useless information, this slightly extended cut was used by the concert production company, Film Concerts Live, for their ‘film-with-live-orchestra’ program of 'Casino Royale' where the feature-length film is screened accompanied by an orchestra performing David Arnold’s entire music score.  It premiered at the Royal Albert Hall in 2017

At the 1:57 mark of this video, you’ll see this footage, below, which is not used in the PG-13 USA cut.
