Just spotted this on 2 sites and honestly wasn't expecting to see it so soon.

Quote:Dub removed.
As it had hardcoded Russian subtitles for foreign parts, non-IMAX scenes are heavily cropped at times, and has crap bitrate,
didn't bother to slow down the video, sync proper audio and add chapters.
Just created synced forced subtitles from AMZN in ASS format to go over the Russian ones.
Maybe a better release or a hybrid will appear later on.

Hopefully one of our AutoOverlay experts can make a better release.  Wink
Wow that was fast. What's it sourced from?

We'd need another source, though... Wink personally, I'd go with an UAR version - but I guess I'm the only one!
Sadly my projects are lost due to an HDD crash... Sad

It would be amazing....
WOW! Just awesome!

What's good is reconstructing the IMAX version should be easy, as just looking at the footage and only including non-cropped images.

Russian in origin judging by the hard-coded subs.

Forgive me if it's not Russian though.

Should be possible to make a hybrid with the upcoming UHD Release? Current Avisynth Overlay version support HDR colour space right?

In theory yes; it must be seen if they use the same master (almost surely) and if SDR matches well with HDR!

There's bound to be a 100% english version coming to TV or online provider soon (with no russian subtitles).

Should note on this last shot - parts of those IMAX sequences (basically anything involving dialogue) were actually shot on 5-perf 65mm in 2.20:1 instead of 15-perf IMAX. Hence why the sides are cropped while we get more top and bottom on this broadcast/VOD master. (and this is how it was shown IMAX cinemas too, including 1.43 venues - 1.9 cropped) Guess a decision would need to be made about how this is handled...and maybe part of why the official home ent release didn't get the IMAX expanded footage at all.
