[Help] Help with VHS capture

The only deck I have access to currently is very low-end, I was hoping someone here would have a nicer setup and could do a transfer for me if I send them a tape.

My setup is decent enough though granted the quality of the recording will depend on the condition of the tape.

you really don't need anything crazy if you only need to capture audio. a half decent 4 head vhs player from a thrift store or craigslist plus a cheap rca to usb converter off amazon and i bet you'd be surprised at the results.

also, in case you were unaware, the 2.0 on the amazon stream is not mono. plenty of audio left after an invert/mix so probably a downmix from the 5.1 which seems to be the only option out there. doesn't sound too bad at least.
