I would like to preserve the theatrical version of this film as it was screened in theaters in the US. I think I should do 2 things:
1.Add the burned-in subtitles.
2.Add the Newmarket films logo.
In this trailer you can see the Newmarket logo and the burned-in subtitles (Maybe this is the only trailer where this appears):
But I have 2 doubts:
1.Does anyone remember if the subtitles were burned-in into the 35mm print or were they projected separately with another projector? The latter is common at some film festivals. If they were burned-in subtitles, I would like to know if the same font we see in the trailer was used.
2.According to imdb, the film was distributed by Newmarket Films in the U.S. theaters.
Distributors: Newmarket Films (2004) (USA) (theatrical) (subtitled)
But should the Newmarket logo go after the Icon logo (as in the trailer) or should it be the first of the two to appear? On Blu-ray that Newmarket logo does not appear.
Well, let's see if anyone knows anything about all this.
