[Request] Scream Director's Cut LD Rip

Hey, everyone!

It's been a bit, and I am looking for help. I'm looking for a rip of the Scream Director's Cut LD. This is a separate request from the audio tracks request I made a while ago. I'm looking for a rip that'll allow me to replace a bit of footage I'm using in a HD reconstruction. I'm using the recent blu-ray and the Japanese Pioneer DVD, and there's a mastering error on the DVD during Kenny the cameraman's death. I want to try and upscale that bit from the LD to replace the DVD footage for that moment.

As promised, I've (finally) found it!

Just let me set up back the gears - old PC with capture card and laserdisc player - and I'll capture it.

BUT... it seems it's also available on German PAL DVD (that will be better than NTSC LD also because 576 vs 480 vertical resolution): https://www.movie-censorship.com/report.php?ID=256325

Unfortunately I just saw this thread, but better late than never.

@kidjupiter92: Yep, I could rip that one for you, however, as spoRv already pointed out, the German PAL DVD (by exception as normally, our versions rather suck when in doubt) is the best source for the unrated DC till today (the UHD continuing to be the R-rated one) as not only does it have the somewhat higher vertical resolution, but also does the Japanese version (here again by exception a rather lousy release from the land of the rising sun) suffer from severe aliasing as they messed up the pre-filtering required to make Nyquist & Shannon happy.

What I already had in mind but lacked the muse to finally do it, was to create a custom version of Scream which contains the UHD video (as it is the best one available) for the most part, the German DVD upscaled and color space / HDR - converted to fill in those few seconds of the unrated DC altogether with the somewhat different Stereo PCM Dolby Surround audio and the DTS 5.1 mix.

I already started with that but it turns out that the audio from the LD is a pain to synchronise to the UHD video - dozens milliseconds ahead here, a few behind there ... Maybe the better approach would be to leave the audio untouched and edit the video part mostly losslessly based on the LaserDisc video reference (as the German DVD will also have a different timing and wouldn't provide any audio for the project anyway).
