No, the director's cut wasn't released until around 2000. This LD came out in 1985. Extended play is another was of saying the disc is CLV.

The DTS-ES track from the bluray syncs with the UHD using a delay of -1001. You can split the video at 02:12:19.848 to remove the excess black frames.
