Where would you even get a 35mm film version of this movie. I’ve only seen digital 1080-4k versions of this so far and none of its full restoration

I'm already working on a 1.66 re-matte, having just acquired a 1440p OM scan. Although I understand wanting a 4K scan, scanning is really expensive and requires terabytes of raw data. I'd recommend talking to the team behind 4K77 about how doing a 4K scan was. Especially since its a 1.33 reel for a 1.66 film, scans would need to be done at 6K to be properly cropped to 1.66 at 4K. You're talking a ton of money for something that you may not even use. Not meaning to deter you, just something to be aware of.
