OT new forum software
I was away from OT since a long time, due to the fact I forgot my credentials...  Blush Thanks to Silverwook and Jay, I was able to be back to my OT account!  Ok

But... everything is different now!

First of all, in my android phone, visualization is a complete mess... then, I can't see my preferred threads anymore... is this somewhere and I can't simply find it?

What do you guys (and gals?) think about this? Do you like the new forum software best, or the old one? I vote for the old one ("if ain't broke, don't fix it!"  Big Grin  )
Sadly my projects are lost due to an HDD crash... Sad

It's a massive pain. But it grows on you.

No disrespect is directed at the staff at OT, but IMHO the new lay-out SUCKS and I hate it. It's not just a matter of the visual aspect, but a lot of cool features from the old-style are missing:

- exactly when and by whom a new post was made is not displayed in the threads page (does give date, but no time)
- the post numbers are missing
- if a post has been edited, the timestamp for it being edited is now gone
- the way the font sizes change at random between posts (even when it's not quoting another post)
- can't change the default number of posts displayed per page (I know most people don't mind 10, but I liked being able to change it to display 100 posts per page for those very long threads, where going through 6 pages is easier than 60)

On the plus side, the pages do load faster (although VERY funky and clunky layout on android) and I like the way that PMs are now displayed as a chat which makes tracking certain things way easier. For the most part, the website seems to be more stable now as well, so I understand why they switched software, just wonder why certain things haven't been ported over. I'm sure there's a reason thoughWink

Agree with you Jerry, I like the PM system too... but I dislike many other things, including the missing editor in everything (new post, reply, even signature) which makes quite difficult to write anything but simple plain text... so, it is supposed I should know (and remember) how to add links, images, videos etc. but, even if I'd want to remember it (and I don't) where I could learn this?!?
