Mission: to release Supernova in High Definition Blu-ray format.
Video sources: 2x HDTV
Audio sources: DVD
Subtitles sources: DVD
Project info:
Even if "Supernova" could not be considered a masterpiece, I like it, as many of us... no Blu-ray is ever released, so it's time to make a proper high-definition version.
There are two HDTV broadcasts around, one scandinavian and the other russian; both are 1920x1080 2.35:1 25fps; they have different color grading but, apart that and according to preliminary tests, they match 100%; if it proves true, I'll overlay them to average compression artifacts and obtain a better quality without using nasty noise reduction; result color is also better than both single version; video then will be slowed down to 23.976fps.
All five languages are taken from the PAL DVD; they are all Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks; they are converted from 25fps to 23.976fps; if I'll be able to find out the English Cinema DTS track, it will be included as main track.
Subtitles for all five languages are from PAL DVD.
